ACEPWG Field Campaign Data

The AirMSPI, PACS and RSP airborne polarimeters have been used in a variety of field campaigns throughout North America, and have observed many types of scenes. The three instruments were deployed together on the ER-2 high altitude aircraft on the POlarimeter DEfinition EXperiment (PODEX). The AirMSPI and RSP instruments remained on the ER-2 for the Studies of Emissions and Atmospheric Composition, Clouds and Climate Coupling by Regional Surveys (SEAC4RS) field campaign, and continue for portions of field campaigns such as the Hyperspectral Infrared Imager (HyspIRI) Airborne Campaign. The RSP also has a long deployment history, in part due to its role as the airborne prototype of the Aerosol Polarimetry Sensor (APS) on the NASA Glory Mission.
