Mission:
SLAP LIAISE 2021
Mission Location:
Ebro Basin, Spain
Mission Summary:

Thursday July 15 was the first IOP (intensive operation) day of LIAISE special observation period (IOP). SLAP was flown on low-altitude mapping line to increase the spatial resolution. Due to the low-altitude, SLAP was operated in only passive (radiometer) mode. On the target area, for moving from one mapping line to the next parallel line, auto-pilot was employed. Due to the distance between parallel line, flying speed, and wind condition, it took long for the plane to adjust itself to the mapping line. So, at the beginning of each line, the plane did not follow the designed path.
