Mission Location:
Ebro Basin, Spain
Mission Summary:
Thurday, July 29th was the ninthe and the last flight of the LIAISE campaign. SLAP was flown on mid-altitude mapping line. At this altitude, SLAP was at both passive (raiometer) and active (radar) mode during.
At the beginning of the flight, a few minutes after taking off, the Valencia Anchor Station was also scanned by SLAP for only one line.
Three days before the flight date, there was natural fire 120 mile east of the target area. the fire happened after the heavy rain on Monday, SLAP was flown above the fire area slightly on its left side. So, the antenna was locked to the right during the whole scaninng of the fire zone.

On the way back from the target area to Valencia airport, was calibration was also performed at 5500ft altitude. At this part, radar was also utilized.
