This timelapse video, from April 3, 2012 to April 21, 2012, shows the DC-8 airborne laboratory before and after scientific instruments are installed for the Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry (DC3) experiment. The DC-8 carried more than 20 scientific instruments to collect data during the campaign, to investigate the impact of large-scale thunderstorms on upper tropospheric composition and chemistry.
