Vector P

The Vector P features include a 103" wingspan, twin tailboom pusher design, redundant control surfaces, traditional composite construction, and tricycle landing gear configuration. The Vector P has a payload bay that measures 27' X 9" X 9" and can carry 25 pounds of payload/fuel for a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 75 lbs. Endurance is payload dependant with flight times from 1 to 6 hours, maximum fuel load is 3 gallons/20 pounds. Cruse speed is 58-65 knots, dash speed is 90 to 100 knots, maximum altitude is 10,000 feet MSL. Manual control is performed through an "off the shelf" JR9303 or Spektrum DX7 radio controll system tansmitting on 2.4 GHz. Range for the 2.4 GHz is over 5000 feet line of sight. For communications spread spectrum modems Microhard 910A operating on 902 - 928 MHz. Using high gain antennas Max range is 60 miles. Demonstrated range is 5 miles with standard antenna. Main power to the aircraft is supplied through a central power buss (featuring redundant swithces and short circuit protection) with up to (3) three 18.5 volt 6400 MAH Lithium Polymer Batteries. Power for the avionics, ignition and navigaion lighting are sourded from the power buss. In addition power can be supplied to the payload. Maximum allowable power draw by the payload is 6A for one hour when equipped with two 18.5 volt 6400 mah batteries. Navagation is provided via GPS, airspeed and altitude by pitot static. Control of autopilot once in "Auto" mode and telemetry are provided via a laptop computer. The Vector P can also be equipped and flown with the Cloud Cap Piccolo autopilot system.
