Tarzan TD-1c
The TARZAN TD-1c is the "work horse" of the Theiss Aviation fleet. The construction of the TARZAN is a unique combination of foam, wood, composites, and metal that yield a strong 18’ wingspan craft weighing in at 150 lbs. (empty). This lightweight aircraft is able to carry 105 lbs. in its unmatched payload area totaling over 9 cubic feet. The Naval Research Laboratories and CECOM have used the Tarzan as a “payload truck” for testing a variety of radiation, chemical and biological sensors.
