Super Ferret
The Super Ferret is a small man portable UAV being produced by Theiss Aviation for high altitude missions such as meteorological monitoring, reconnaissance, chemical/biochemical agent detection, and munitions delivery. Universities and research organizations have used the Super Ferret for testing a variety of airborne sensors. The Super Ferret is constructed of inexpensive foam, wood and fiberglass, and is based on a larger stable fixed wing design utilized by Theiss Aviation, Inc. The craft offers a high altitude capability, and a low "loiter" speed to allow for duration on target. May be electric powered, or use a gas-powered engine for increased endurance.
